*D A N C E inspiration.

There are people who watch movies and feel inspired by them. I can tell you that I am one of them.

Dance is something that I’ve always loved. When I was younger I used to take Ballet lessons, then I changed to Hip Hop then Salsa and Jazz.

The thing is that learning choreography from a dance teacher is something I love to do and is totally different to going out and dancing however you like. You learn so much more when you are taught things.

When I was in middle school I had a group of friends and we decided to choreograph our own dance to what was a big hit back then ‘Who let the dogs out’ from Baha Men.

We were all in vocal music class and a huge performance was coming up. We talked to our music teacher whether we could perform the dance with our whole class and she seemed to think it was a good idea. That is when we got our opportunity. The performance did go quite well, might I add. Ever since then, I’ve tried to do as much dancing as I could and even took Dance as a subject.

I’ll never forget when the movies Honey and Step Up came out. Those two movies were by biggest inspiration. I bought the soundtracks, and tried to learn some dance moves from the movies and then come up with my own and then put them together.

Someday I want to be able to combine everything I’ve learned and take chances to move further ahead, to be able to take part in dance performances or shows and much more!

*All About Singers.

I personally find it difficult when I have to decide which singers I look up to. There are so many singers in the world today. It feels like everyday there is someone new about to come out. I imagine way back, when singers were exceptional. You would not only have the looks and the character to be one but most importantly, you’d have the talent.

I’m not trying to say that anyone nowadays can become a singer but it sure seems a lot easier then ever. There are some singers whose performances are not that great, who don't sound good live and lip sync instead. Whereas there are other artists who are the complete opposite. There are a few who I find truly extraordinary, such as BeyoncĂ©, Christina Aguilera, Amerie and Joanna Levesque, also known as JoJo.

These four women have something in common and that is when they sing, you know who their voices are instantly. They’ve got their own style whether it’s in music or their personality and they can sing notes, which usually are hard to achieve for anyone. I know that they are all females but I’ll come to the male voices after.

I admire Beyonce because when she sings, I actually get goose bumps. I already think her voice on her albums is great, but in her performances it’s fantastic! Beyonce has the looks, she can dance AND she can sing. I like her fusions of music styles.

I look up to Christina Aguilera because I’ve seen the singer she has grown to be. I remember when her first song was out in stores for the Walt Disney movie Mulan, called ‘Reflection’, and then her first album. I liked her music from the start. Even with the changes she went through from having an innocent image to ‘Dirrty’ to becoming ‘Back to Basics’. Her voice sounds incredible no matter what type of genre she sings.

Amerie and JoJo are both newcomers but they’ve been out already since a few years ago. I like how both have an R&B style of music, as I myself am a big R&B fan. I find that their songs can always be listened to because there’s a nice mix of slow and fast songs. JoJo is the youngest from all but has a voice like no other. You were able to hear that her voice developed a lot since her first single ‘Leave (Get Out)’ till now with her second album ‘The High Road’.

As for the male voices, I really like Mario, Justin Timberlake and Mario Vazquez.

Mario in a way reminds me of another singer Omarion, they both have a similar style in music and can dance really well! Check out Omarion’s ‘Ice Box’ video and Mario’s ‘Let Me Love You‘ and you’ll see what I mean. I find that their type of music is something you can listen to over and over again without getting bored.

Justin Timberlake is also a good singer. His style is fairly different to others in comparison to the ones that I have mentioned in here. He can sing high notes without it sounding strange. His music also has changed slightly from his ‘Justified’ album to his ‘FutureSex/LoveSounds’ album.

Mario Vazquez, I love that he sings in both English and Spanish. The good thing is that I understand what he’s singing too. My favourite song is called ‘Gallery’. I’ve found out that he was a contestant in American Idol, too.

*You can never have enough FRIENDS.

I'm pretty sure you know who I'm talking about.

Yes, it is the famous six from Central Perk, Manhattan.

Having started in 1994 with the first series and ending in 2004, the entire FRIENDS cast: Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer, have become the most popular actors/actresses in the world! As for the show itself - a unique sensation.

Jennifer Aniston plays Rachel, who is a girl coming from a fairly wealthy family and learning to experience life without having to depend on her father's money.

Courteney Cox plays Monica, someone who loves to cook and eat and is the younger sister of Ross, who can be quite loud.

David Schwimmer plays Ross, who is Monica's older brother, a paleontologist, who doesn't have much luck when it comes to love.

Lisa Kudrow plays Phoebe, whose mother leaft her and her twin sister, Ursula, all on their own in New York city. She finds a home in Monica's apartment.

Matthew Perry plays Chandler. A boy whose parents got divorced, and he uses his sense of humour as a defense mechanism.

and last but not least:

Matt LeBlanc plays Joey, who is the only son in the family, becomes an actor and loves food.

For 10 years, the creators of FRIENDS - US sitcom, David Crane and Marta Kauffman have written a story about six young people and their lives in New York City. The theme of this series is based on friendship and how no matter where you are, you friends are your family.

I think that is one of the main reasons why it is my favourite show. Because I have moved from country to country, I find that once you've made friends you should definitely try to keep them.

I love this show so much that ever since I began watching this, I've always dreamed of living just like them when I'm older, about their age. Even now, having all the seasons, I enjoy watching all episodes over and over again. The humour is truly memorable.

I also like the fact that there are other guest celebrities in some of the episodes such as Billy Crystal, Robin Williams, Christina Applegate, Selma Blair, Kristin Davis and many more.

If anyone would ask me who my favourite character is, I wouldn't be able to decide, because I find that every character whether it's Rachel, Monica, Ross, Joey, Chandler or Phoebe has something different about them which you like.

I was really sad when FRIENDS ended because the final scene, when they're walking out together reminded me so much of how it felt like when I had to leave my friends. One goodbye which was so hard for me felt exactly like the one when Chandler and Monica were moving out of the apartment and leaving for the countryside.

Without a doubt the last series was the most-watched one in television history.

Just a few facts about FRIENDS:
  • FRIENDS has won the Golden Globe award along with 55 other wins.
  • It has had 152 nominations.
  • There are 236 episodes within 10 seasons.

*Anything is possible.

You may be an ordinary girl the one day and become a superstar the next...

At least this is how it was for newcomer Esmee Denters. Born on the 28th of September 1988 in Oosterbeek, Netherlands, 19-year-old Esmee was discovered on youtube singing various songs from the charts. She used her sisters webcam and then posted her videos on the web.

When people saw her videos, they were amazed at her voice. They were so blown away that they kept requesting songs for her to sing. Then as soon as you know it, she was up and about the music world, doing the thing she loves most.

She has signed a contract with Tennman Records and is touring the world with former N'Sync singer, Justin Timberlake. She is performing as Justin Timberlake's opening act.

Since her discovery, she has worked with English singer and songwriter, Natasha Bedingfield and former R&B Destiny's Child singer, Kelly Rowland. Kelly Rowland is truly fascinated by Esmee and has the feeling that she will become the big deal.

Esmee's number of fans seems to be growing by the day as well. One of the biggest fan sites at the moment is known as Esmeezone. You are able to find videos, pictures and lots more about her.

I'm expected to hear lots more about her as the days turn to years. In my opinion she really has a great voice and that someday she'll be singing amongst other fantastic singers such as Whitney Houston, Beyonce or even Mariah Carey.
